This week on Cardiff Rugby Life we welcome Munster fan @ThreeRedKings to the site, who can also be found here threeredkings.com. They give us their thoughts on Saturday’s opponents, with some particularly interesting comments on how they have dealt with a similar situation to what we’re going through after Danny Wilson’s decision this week.
Looking back, how did 2016/17 go for Munster?
(TRK) Pretty good up until the last two months. We looked more than a little burned out come season’s end and got badly beaten in the final. Overall, it was a success.
Has Rassie Erasmus’ impeding departure had any impact on the playing side so far this season?
(TRK) Not really. None of the lads I’ve spoken to have been that arsed by it really – they know the craic for the most part.

Are you happy with your summer recruitment?
(TRK) Very much so. Chris Cloete is the openside we’ve been needing and it’s always good to see JJ Hanrahan back in a red shirt.
Where would you say the strengths and weaknesses lie within your squad?
(TRK) Second row depth is a bit of a concern but I’d say overall, we’re quite strong everywhere relative to teams we’d like to compete with.
Who is your Munster player to watch this season?
(TRK) Chris Cloete and Chris Farrell are two guys I think will make a big impact. Other than that, Liam ‘Boomer’ O’Connor.

What would a successful 2017/18 season look like for you?
(TRK) A trophy, pure and simple.
What is your score prediction for our game?
(TRK) A Munster win, as long we work your phase defence.
Thanks to @ThreeRedKings for their insight, and make sure to check them out on threeredkings.com. Here’s hoping for a good game tomorrow!
