Cardiff RFC have confirmed they will have three pre-season fixtures this summer as Steve Law’s men get ready for an all-important 2018/19 Principality Premiership campaign.

The Blue and Blacks will start their preparations with a trip over the Severn Bridge to Clifton RFC on Saturday 11th August, before facing their English National Two South counterparts Old Albanians at the Arms Park the following Saturday.

Pre-season will then come to a close on Saturday 25th August with a trip down the M4 to Welsh Championship side Tata Steel, with all games kicking off at 14:30.

Cardiff will be keen to get their pre-season right, ahead of a Premiership campaign that will see four teams relegated, and the fifth-from-bottom team face a play-off against the Championship winners, as the WRU reduce the league to 12 teams from 2019/20 as part of development pathway reforms.

The Blue and Blacks have already brought in nine new faces to the squad, in conjunction with the new Cardiff Blues U23 team, and will continue to try and strengthen throughout the summer with announcements made as and when players sign.
