The Cardiff Blues community department continues to thrive as it prepares for a hectic summer of kids rugby camps right around the region and an exciting future beyond that.
After another busy season of visiting schools and clubs from Cardiff and the Vale to South Powys, and right through Rhondda Cynon Taf in between, focus now shifts to the increasingly successful summer rugby camps.
Five camps will be run over the next six weeks, taking Porth and Pontyclun in the Valleys, Gwernyfed in Powys and the famous old Arms Park in Cardiff.
Children aged between 6 and 14 years old will be treated to a variety of sills, drills and fun games through a full day, as well as the possibility of a visit from a current Cardiff Blues squad member.

The camp locations and dates are below, and children can be booked onto the camps here.
Cardiff Arms Park – 31st July, 1st and 2nd August
Gwernyfed RFC – 14th and 15th August
Pontyclun RFC – 20th, 21st and 22nd August
Porth RFC – 23rd August
Cardiff Arms Park – 28th, 29th and 30th August
The success of last season and the biggest summer of camps yet are just part of the reason why an exciting future awaits the Cardiff Blues community department.
Plans are well afoot to make it a community trust, which will allow the profits made from the department to be ploughed directly back into making the Cardiff Blues community work even better than it already is.
A board is in the process of being appointed and more information should be available early in the new season.
