Stalwart Cardiff RFC second row James Murphy will leave the club this summer after seven seasons.
The 32-year-old arrived at the Arms Park in 2012 having previously played for Bedwas and quickly set about becoming a regular fixture within the team.
He’d made his 50th appearance before Christmas in 2014, making his 100th appearance against Pontypridd in December 2016.
Murphy ends his career with the Blue and Blacks on 154 appearances, and was presented with a special framed jersey by Geraint John at the end of season dinner on Friday night.
He now links up with Pontypridd RFC ahead of the 2019/20 campaign, telling their website, “I’m really looking forward to playing for such a fantastic club and being part of the squad.
“Ponty have always been a force to be reckoned and to now be with the boys and the challenges ahead is really exciting.”
