It has been confirmed that the Celtic Cup will return for a second edition in 2019, starting on the August Bank Holiday weekend.
The format changes slightly as all teams will be ranked in one league and the top two teams will contest the final on Saturday 12th October. Due to there being only seven league games, four teams will play four home games and four teams will play three home games.
Cardiff Blues A will meet the champions first up, hosting Leinster A on the weekend of 23-25th August, before away games against Ulster A and Dragons A over the next two weekends.
We are then home to Ospreys A on the weekend of 13th-15th September, before travelling away to Munster A and finishing with home games against Connacht A and Scarlets A.
The Cardiff Blues A team will be coached by Academy coaches Gethin Jenkins and T Rhys Thomas, who will be assisted by Cardiff Blues U18 coaches Craig Everett and Alex James.
