Cardiff RFC have further bolstered the forwards pack ahead of the new season with the signing of second row Scott Andrews from Cross Keys.

The 25-year-old came through the development pathway with the Dragons, before being released from their academy and spending time with Bath, Ealing and Neath, in a varied career to date.

One constant has been appearing for Cross Keys each season for the last eight, amassing 87 games in all competitions, scoring four tries. He joins another long-serving Pandy Park favourite, Leon Andrews, in making the switch to the Blue and Blacks.

Standing at 6ft4 and weighing 120kgs, he will add considerable physicality to the Cardiff pack, joining Kieran Martin in the engine room, with Callum Bradbury and James Ratti both RFC players but currently training full-time with Cardiff Blues.

Steve Law had already moved to bring in a number of forwards for the coming season, although prop Ben Warren has signed for Bridgend having only been training with the Blue and Blacks.
